The Kahua Ranch Sunset Dinner at Waimea, Hawaii is a wonderful way to see the life of a ranch worker. The history and workings of the ranch are told in a story like manner while you enjoy the campfire setting. The drive up to the ranch provides you with some of the most breathtaking views on the Big Island. As you climb higher into upcountry kahala, the clouds drift over the road. When you arrive at the ranch, the crisp air gives you the feeling you are truly in the mountains. The campfire warms you as the staff's friendly service will make sure you are having a good time. Dinner is buffet style with chicken, steak, salad, corn, beans, etc... The food was delicious and we would go back again and recommend it to friends. The country music is played during dinner and country dancing, if you desire. The evening takes place on a large covered open air deck/lanai that overlooks the ranch. They bring out a horse for you to sit on and take photos. A very friendly ranch dog and cat will be wondering around. This ranch experience will add to your overall enjoyment of the Big Island vacation.
